The Comox Valley Skating Club wrapped up the winter season with 26 skaters putting on a very strong showing at the Barbara Rasmussen Memorial Competition in Port McNeill.  In doing so the skaters brought home 22 medals and the team trophy.

With the newly introduced province-wide Pond to Podium Super Series of competitions starting April 15, this progressive, productive group of athletes are already into the first week of a seven-week spring training camp.

Over the next seven weeks the skaters will work on developing new skills and programs as well as competing in the first two of the Super Series events, VISI (Vancouver Island Skate International) April 15-17 in Parksville, and The Victoria Day Competition May 20-22 in Surrey.

In addition to their seven-week Figure Skating Spring Training Program, the club is also running its Canskate (learn to skate), Pre-school and Pre-Power Programs on Monday and Wednesday.  The Monday program is at capacity, while there are still a few openings for Wednesday.
